The Knights baseball team won its first round District game by beating Portage Northern 5-4. Noel Cavey pitched 6 great innings giving up only 3 hits and earning the win. James Rinehart contributed to the win with some outstanding defense. Rinehart,Yohanes Ademodi, and Tony Dougherty each  had 2 hits.

There will be AAC today and Thursday this week C21.  Today there will also be a testing room open in K12, Ms. Layton’s room.   Next Monday there will be NO AAC due to a staff meeting.  Please make other arrangements

Are you interested in showing your Knight Pride during the football season in the fall?  Come tryout for the Sideline Cheer program and show your skills Today and Thursday.  The clinic and tryouts will be held in the back gym from 6-8 each day.

Attention all sophomores and juniors.  Are you looking for a fun opportunity this summer? The Third 90 Network of Michigan Colleges alliance is offering a 3 day environmental research experience which will take place at the Kalamazoo Nature Center and Kalamazoo College. Transportation and lunch will be provided. You will be able to get hands-on learning opportunities which focus on the environment and conservation.  Topics will include biodiversity, wildlife, and sustainability along with activities such as hiking and canoeing. The dates are June 20th, 21st and 22nd. There are only 10 spots available. For more information please see your science teacher or Mrs. Young in M14. Deadline is June 9th. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!!!!!

Attention All Loy Norrix Ladies interested in playing for the golf team this fall. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, June 6th @ 2:30 in Mr. Peterson’s class, the T.V. room. Please plan on attending and bring a friend. Again, the meeting for the girl’s golf team is on Tuesday, June 6th in Mr. Peterson’s room.  

Still haven’t bought your yearbook yet? There are fewer than 50 yearbooks left. Come to K3 with $65 cash or check to get yours today so you can get it signed before the seniors leave! Bought a yearbook but haven’t picked it up? Come to K3 before school, during lunch, or after school to get yours.

Are you an aspiring artist, photographer, journalist, or graphic designer? Want to learn valuable writing, photography, and design skills in a fun and fast-paced class? Take Yearbook next year! Applications are available outside of room K3 and in the guidance office. Applications and teacher recommendations are due Friday, June 2, so don’t delay – sign up today!

Calling all Future Knight Life reporters: There will be an after school meeting this Thursday to learn more about journalism camp at MSU this summer. The meeting will last about 20 minutes and takes place in K-6. See Pankop for details if you can’t make it.

Who’s line is it anyway? Who knows – it may just be yours! Come try out for the Loy Norrix Improv Team. Auditions will be on Wednesday, June 7th at 2:30 in J11. Have questions?  See Ms. O’Shea any time after school.

We have about 22 senior shirts and hoodies left.  Don’t be left out and not have this amazing momento of high school. They can be purchased from Mrs. May from now through Thursday or until graduation practice.

If you are a Peacejammer and are in the Edison Literacy Project – your permission slip and your 25 books will need to be in to Mrs. May before you will be able to go on the Zoo trip with your 4th grader.  Don’t delay as our lunches need to be ordered.
